Goliath Tabuni Menyampaikan Duka Cita Yang Mendalam Atas Wafatanya Matias Wenda
Nabire, tiiruu.com – Pang Lima Tinggi Tentara Pembebasan Nasional Papua Barat, (TPNPB) Jenderal Goliath Naaman Tabuni Beserta Seluruh Pasukan Di 36 Kodap Setanah Papua Turut Berduka Cita Atas Meninggalnya Jenderal Matias Wenda.
Kabar turut berbela sungkawa dari Pang Lima Tinggi TPNPB, Jenderal Goliath Naaman Tabuni duka atas Meninggalnya Jenderal Matias Wenda disampaikan oleh Juru Bicara Tentara Pembebasan Nasional Papua Barat (TPNPB) Sebby Sambom dalam siaran Persnya, yang diterima tiiruu.com, Senin, (14/4/2025).
Sambom mengatakan, Jenderal Goliath Naaman Tabuni beserta seluruh jajaran dan pasukan TPNPB di 36 Kodap Setanah Papua beserta Staff TPNPB menyampaikan turut berduka cita atas meninggalnya Jenderal Mathias Wenda pada hari Sabtu, 12 April 2025.
“Secara resmi pada hari ini Senin, 14 April 2025 dari Pengendali Manajemen Markas Pusat KOMNAS TPNPB menggumumkan duka nasional kepada semua pihak atas meninggalnya Jenderal Mathias Wenda, sebagai pejuang sejati kemerdekaan bangsa Papua yang telah menaruh hidupnya demi bangsa dan tanah air West Papua,”katanya.
Sambom mengatakan, almarhum Jenderal Mathias Wenda sebagai seorang gerilyawan sejati yang manaruh hidupnya sejak muda di dalam medan perang bersama pasukan TPNPB di tanah Papua melawan militer pemerintah Indonesia demi merebut kembali kemerdekaan bangsa Papua pada 1 Desember 1961 hingga akhirnya meninggal dunia pada 12 April 2025 dengan usainya yang ke 90 tahun.
“Atas perjuangan dan pengabdiannya yang tulus bagi perjuangan bangsa Papua demi merebut kembali kemerdekaan bangsa Papua maka disampaikan kepada seluruh pasukan TPNPB di 36 Kodap setanah Papua agar menghargai dan menghormati para pahlawan bangsa dengan menaikan bendera sang Bintang Fajar setengah tiang,”katanya.
Sambom mengatakan, Dan terima kasih atas kerja sama yang baik.

Hari ini minggu 1 Mei 2022 Markas pusat pertahanan West Papua Army merayakan dan memperingati hari Kebangkitan Persatuan Militer tiga tahun yang lalu.
Pada kesempatan tersebut telah dihadiri para Panglima daerah bersama anggota dari seluruh West Papua menghadiri Kongres Luar Biasa itu dan dengan bersepakat bersama sama menjadi satu kesatuan dalam satu komando yaitu Komando West Papua Army. Pada Kongres Luar biasa itu ketua ULMWP tuan Benny Wenda dan Sekjen ULMWP tuan Rex Rumakiek menegaskan bahwa:
“Persatuan sayap militer ini merupakan KUNCI untuk mengusir penjaja Indonesia dari West Papua. Dan musuh kami hanya satu, yaitu Kolonial Indonesia. Jadi tugas West Papua Army adalah mengawal agenda perjuangan dan melindungi rakyat West Papua.
Ketua ULMWP juga menegaskan pula kongres kali ini adalah Kongres terakhir telah kita melahirkan embrio Negara Republik West Papua, jadi apabila organisasi lain atau oknum orang telah melawan Persatuan yang sudah diadakan hari ini, BERARTI DIA adalah MUSUH kita bersama”.
Saya Chief General Mathias Wenda Panglima Tertinggi Komando West Papua Army bersama Jendral Goliath Tabuni adalah Wakil Panglima Tertinggi bersama tiga Kepala Staff telah diangkat dan diumumkan bersama 12 Kabinet Pemerintah Sementara telah serukan kepada seluruh Pertahanan dari Sorong sampai Merauke bahwa, marilah kita sebagai pagar Negara republic West Papua mendukung dan mengawal agenda Pemerintahan Sementara Republik of West Papua dan juga melindungi rakyat dan membela hak politik kami atas negeri West Papua.
Pada tanggal 1 Mei tahun 2019 telah terjadi satu peristiwa sejarah penting yaitu: “Persatuan sayap Militer TPN-TRWP dan TPN BP telah menjadi satu kesatuan Komando dalam Tentara Papua Barat atau West Papua Army. Maka hari ini seluruh pasukan Komando Pusat Pertahanan telah merayakan Upacara Militer dan dilanjutkan dengan ibadah bersama.
Selamat Merayakan Hari Persatuan dan Kebangkitan Militer WEST PAPUA ARMY, Papa God Memberkati dan menyertai kita semua, dalam tugas dan panggilan perjuangan, Amin.

West Papua Army Secretariat-General: Happy Anniversary 12 Cabinets and WPA Command
From the Central Defence Headquarters of West Papua Army (CDH-WPA), on behalf of the WPA Supreme Commander, Chief General Mathias Wenda, the Secretary-General of WPA, Gen. Amunggut Tabi issued statement related to the anniversary of West Papua Army (1 May 2018 – 1 May 2022)’ The 12 Cabinets of West Papua Provisional Government (1 May 2021 – 1 May 2022)
The appointment of Chief General Mathias Wenda as the Commander-in-Chief of West Papua Army (1 May 2021 – 1 May 2022) The letter also orders all regional commanders as well as cabinet ministers and other bodies within the government to submit to the vision and programmes of the Interim-President Hon. Benny Wenda in order to win the fight against colonialism of Indonesia.
The letter is signed by General Amunggut Tabi on behalf of Supreme Commander of WPA, Chief General Mathias Wenda.

MSG receives over VT10M from Indonesian National Police

The Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Secretariat formally received a voluntary contribution of 100,000USD (VT10.9 million) from the Indonesian National Police (INP) on Tuesday.
According to a statement by the MSG Secretariat, this contribution will aid the formulation of the MSG Regional Security Strategy (RSS).
This was made possible following a virtual handover ceremony between the two organisations, formally signed by the Director General of the MSG Secretariat, Mr Leonard Louma, OBE, and Head of the International Cooperation Division, INP, Police Inspector General Johni Asadoma.
In his remarks, DG Louma expressed deep appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, through the Indonesian National Police for supporting the development of the RSS, a member to the Working Group (WG). He also expressed his appreciation to the Chair of the RSS WG Meeting and Commander of the Fiji Military Forces, Major General Jone Kalouniwai for his ongoing support. DG Louma stated that the RSS WG was established to provide an avenue for discussing the development of the RSS, adding that in the face of the ever increasing and emerging threats to peace and security, it is incumbent on Members of the RSS WG to devise appropriate and relevant strategies to address common security challenges. “The importance of MSG RSS cannot be overstated. The current animated discussions on the Solomon Islands Government decisions with respect to its own security arrangements and the absence of Pacific Island input into the Indo-Pacific security narrative underscore the need for developing a RSS based on our needs and interests,” he emphasised.
He said the Agreement Establishing the MSG (in Article 3) recognises the importance of aligning policies to further advance MSG members’ shared goals of peace and security. He further emphasised the importance of the RSS to address common security threats and challenges in the MSG region for our future sustainable development and prosperity, as recognised in the MSG 2038 Prosperity for All Plan. DG Louma stated that strategy had five strategic priorities, each of which was informed by common security challenges facing the MSG region, and captures both traditional and non-traditional emerging security threats. He alluded to the existing MSG agreements and cooperation on the Formed Police Unit and the Humanitarian Emergency Response Coordinating Centre (HERCC) as supporting instruments that would complement the MSG Regional Security Strategy.
DG Louma hopes that the five identified strategic priorities of the MSG Security Strategy will surely complement and add value to some of the existing regional security initiatives as the Pacific Islands Forum’s Boe’s declaration. He said the national threats within Members’ jurisdictions are some of the emerging security threats that must also be explored in the formulation of the MSG RSS.
In conclusion, DG Louma said that as Director General of the MSG Secretariat, he will keep a keen eye on developments in the RSS. “While I am pleased to note the progress made to date, the Secretariat would obviously need adequate resources to be able to deliver on the Strategy,” he said. Finally, he echoed appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for their contribution and unwavering commitment and support to the MSG.
The INP, in a statement, said that constructive engagement between Indonesia and the MSG will continue to be mutually beneficial, and will always be cemented by respect working relationship with each member. The INP is committed to hosting the 4th RSS WG meeting which was postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is looking at the possibility of physically hosting the next 4th RSS WG Meeting in Indonesia at a time to be determined. The last RSS WP Meeting was held in Nadi, Fiji in 2019.
